SHOTOKAN KARATE
Planned on filming yesturday during open mat at Tae Kwon do but that didn't happen. I know the two forms really well and I know the one steps. I will need to review the self defenses before filming them but that can be done next Tuesday. Maybe I'll see in my father will film me doing the forms and one steps in our yard today.
Worst case I film it all next week at Tkd during open mat or during the adult self defense class (as I currently have no students in that time slot)
I'm going to try filming part of my first test soon!!! I know the one steps and forms. I need some more focused training on self defenses. So I will hold off on those for a day and try to record them Thursday.
Hopefully getting my yellow belt in Shotokan soon!!!
I know the first of 2 forms necessary to recieve my yellow belt in shotokan karate. Will be working on basic form number two soon. As well as the one steps and self defenses. Hopefully be testing by March or April as I am currently to focused on my Tae Kwon do training.

I found the following DVD program on eBay and bought it on a whim. After which I did some research and I am very pleased with the quality and effectiveness of the style presented by 5th Degree Black Belt Jon Hodge.
While I am currently training in Tae Kwon do/escrima; as well as building my style Kacrijitsu; I am in no rush to go through the program under any imposed time limit. If it takes me 1 year I will be happy ; if it takes me 6 years I will still be content with my progress and will feel accomplished.
Belts go: white,yellow, green, green stripe, blue, blue stripe, brown, brown stripe, red, and black. I do not know if there's an ability to go past 1st Dan black belt as a distant learning student but someday I WILL find out!!!
While my main focus for extracurricular training is Tae Kwon Do at the moment; I will still try to test for a belt every 6-months or so. Which places white belt test sometime in/by December. So hopefully by end of the year I will reach that goal.
